A fire ban across much of Alberta’s forest protection area is set to be lowered to a restriction in a large portion of the area. A fire restriction allows people to have wood campfires in designated campgrounds and on private property, like a backyard fire pit, according to Christie Tucker with Alberta Wildfire.
