Former governor general David Johnston will issue a decision Tuesday on whether Canada needs a public inquiry into foreign interference. Johnston was appointed as the government’s independent special rapporteur on foreign interference in March and was tasked with assessing the extent and impact of foreign interference in Canada’s elections.
