Australia is going to need to ‘Invest’ to Repair Internationally Damaged Reputation

Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Andrew McKellar says Australia is going to have to “invest” to repair the international bad reputation the nation has acquired through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think the fortress Australia mentality that we’ve had over the past two years, we can’t overlook the fact that it does come with a cost,” Mr McKellar told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

He said we’ve got to look into new markets Australia can expand into, which will cost money and requires an investment, around $240 million.
